New Bathroom

After Christmas we were in Costco shopping when I saw a beautiful bathroom sink.  I brought Steve over to look and he said lets get it.  We have wanted to redo our bathroom for some time.  I am so grateful that I have a very handy husband.  Of course pipes had to be changed and we only had one light above our vanity and thought that two would look better so he had to rewire the lights.  Also they had a outlet and switch for the jacuzzi tub on the mirror and that
had to be moved.  Luckily we had enough tiles from when we tiled the floor.  Our old sink went all the way to the floor so we didn't tile underneath it.  The next problem we had was getting the sink up the stairs.  The granite and sinks were firmly attached so it all had to be carried up at once.  Thank goodness for great neighbors.  I didn't even have to help.

Bellamy thought that she was papa's helper and has a big fascination with tools.  She played for an hour putting the drill bits in the right case.  He is very patient and let her help.
I love it.  It looks so awesome.  Thanks again Steve for another home project.  Next new tiles in the shower.

Middle of the night phone call.

Taylor stayed over Christmas night and had not been feeling well that day, he was tired so I gave him some alka seltzer plus night time and he went to bed around 9:00.  Around 2:00 in the morning our phone rang and I picked it up and it was Taylor.  He said "There's blood and I past out you better come downstairs".  We jumped up and threw on our robes and ran downstairs to find Taylor sitting by his vanity holding his head.  It's bleeding pretty bad and the sink is full of vomit.  He said he got up to use the bathroom and started feeling sick and passed out.  His drawer to the vanity was open and his head hit the side of it, cutting it open.  He was only out for a minutes and crawled into his room and got his phone and called us.  We cleaned his head up and bandaged it and got him back in bed.  The next morning I took him to the clinic and they had to put a couple of staples in and then stitch up the top.  I think the alka seltzer made him so dizzy and that is why he passed out.  I'm just glad he was home and not at his empty apartment.

Roberts Family Christmas Party

This year Steve's mom had everyone come to her house for treats and a talent show.  All my kids but Taryn were able to come.  Greg and Lauren had another family get-together that night but stopped by for a few minutes.

After eating we gathered in the living room for the talent show.  Braelyn memorized "Up on the housetop" and her and Berkley sang it.  It was so cute.  I really didn't think Berkley would be brave enough to sing but she did.  So proud of my granddaughters.

After the talent show, Steve read the nativity and the kids got to act it out.  Steve's mom is a great host and it was a fun night.

Christmas Eve sledding

Christmas Eve we woke up to snow.  Alot of snow.  Taylor has been fighting a headache for a couple of days so he took some of our Tylenol with caffeine hoping it would knock out his headache.  It did and since he is not used to caffeine it gave him alot of energy.  Which lead him outside to build an awesome jump for the sleds.

We had alot of fun sleigh riding and building a snowman.  The snow was perfect for throwing snowballs and getting rid of some energy.  Poor Gus he did not enjoy his sleigh ride.
